Interview preparation is not about memorizing scripts — it is about having clear stories ready. Pakistani employers, whether local firms or remote teams, often ask similar questions to test communication, honesty, and role fit.

1. Tell me about yourself

Give a 60–90 second summary: current status, relevant experience, key skills, and what you want next. End by connecting to this role.

2. Why do you want to work here?

Research the company: products, mission, recent news. Mention something specific, not "I need a job."

3. Why should we hire you?

Pick three strengths with brief proof: e.g. reliability, technical skill, customer handling. Match them to the job description.

4. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths: tie to the role. Weakness: choose a real but manageable one and explain how you are improving.

5. Describe a challenge you faced at work

Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Keep it professional and positive.

6. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Show ambition aligned with the company — growth in skills and responsibility, not necessarily their exact job title.

7. Why did you leave your last job?

Stay factual and neutral: career growth, relocation, contract end, better alignment with goals. Never badmouth anyone.

8. What is your expected salary?

Research market rates for your city and level (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, remote). Give a reasonable range in PKR or USD for remote roles. You can say you are flexible for the right opportunity after learning more about responsibilities.

9. Are you comfortable with [shift / travel / onsite]?

Answer honestly. If you need flexibility, state it clearly early to avoid wasted rounds.

10. Do you have questions for us?

Always ask 2–3 questions: team structure, success in first 90 days, growth path. It shows seriousness.

11. How do you handle pressure?

Give a short example: prioritizing tasks, staying calm with customers, meeting deadlines with a checklist.

12. When can you join?

State your notice period accurately. If immediate joiners are required, confirm only if true.
